Missing the taste of a take away in these times of belt tightening, I decided to order some Mrs Balbir Singh spices. They have not disappointed, in fact they are fantastic! No more frying individual spices and then having to fish them out at the end of the cooking process. They come with easy to follow recipe cards, and have passed the test of my fussy children!
These spices always produce an amazing curry. I never buy curry sauce in a jar anymore, these are far better.

One time I forgot to drain the lentils, never again. This is such a tasty recipe, the dal is light and has just the right depth of flavour. I recommend using those measuring spoons for accurate dosage of spice! Delicious and a family favourite.
The lamb version of this dish has real depth of flavour. If using lamb, be careful of the amount of ghee/ oil as the fat in the lamb can make the dish too oily. Remove excess during cooking. Love these spices.

Used diced shoulder of lamb and slow cooked using the recipe. I only lightly spiced with 1.5 chillies. I probably could have gone hotter but it was very tasty and 5 stars for me
Lightly Spiced Masala, I forgot to add the onions until late and probably added too much cream instead of following the recipe properly but very tasty nonetheless.
I bought this blend among a number of Spices. I must admit this is one of my top choices along with Old Deli Butter chicken and Roast Lamb Raan. The flavours are superb and the Sauce is very creamy.
I usually share my Curries with friends who all say they are comparable with restaurant food. I would wholly recommend this blend.

I first tasted Mrs Balbir Singh’s magic at Christmas, when my cousin made a butter turkey curry with the leftovers. I’ve been trying various pouch options for a great curry and then this butter chicken / turkey just blew me away. The flavour is incredible - don’t be fooled by the short ingredients list!
Bought the starter bundle to get me going. The tins arrived and OMG they are so cute! They all smell amazing. Currently making Biryani this evening so the chicken is marinating and I cannot wait to taste it.

It goes brilliantly on so many things - yes to cocktail kebabs but it’s wonderful on chicken thighs, pork chops and any meat really!
