Also known as Chole Masala, this is one of Punjab’s true soul foods. There are of course many versions of chickpea curries across India, but this sumptuous version hails from and is the signature dish of the city of Amritsar, home to the beautiful Golden Temple. This was a regular on the Sunday lunch menu at Mrs Balbir Singh’s home.

Purchased a few more spice kits, and had the easy to follow recipe cards this time Amritsari chana masala, followed it including the tamarind, wow another wonderful meal, tasted better than the takeaways we buy.. we have stocked up on a few spices and will be following some of the recipes on your website.. Delish food and so easy to make…. Thank you

Just the best!

I used to make up my own masala mix from individual items but I could never get it like the restaurants do. I know this is just a handful of simple spices but it just tastes so much better than anything I could make or buy elsewhere. FANTASTIC!
