Introduced to the coastal state of Goa in the 1500s by Portuguese sailors who travelled with their garlic-flavoured vinegar stew. Carne de Vinha d'alhos, or vindaloo, refers to meat cooked in wine and garlic. One of the most famous but also misrepresented Indian dishes, this version is packed full of its signature intense, tangy, garlicky and 'pickled pork' notes, and can be as hot or mild as you prefer.

  • An authentic Mrs Balbir Singh recipe card
  • 1 x Goan Vindaloo blend (50g)
  • Makes dish 2 times (serves 4 each time)

NOTE: this blend contains ground MUSTARD SEEDS

Whereas all our spice blends are vegan-friendly, you may need to use your favourite vegetarian or vegan alternatives in our recipes and serving suggestions where required.

Full of flavour but very spicy!

Loads of flavour and a really quick curry to make! I’m usually okay with spice, but this one was on the slightly spicer side! Will make again!

Fantastic Taste

Decided to give this a try. Absolutely lovely. I normally use another make of fiery Goan curry (one of our favs) that comes in three little packets and is readily available from supermarkets.
Mrs Balbir Singhs Goan Vindaloo surpassed our normal fav in terms of flavour, will definitely be using again.
Cant wait to try the other north India varieties we bought to.

Awesome - already ordered 3 more tins

Made the vindaloo twice so far, most recently for my 2 sons who absolutely loved it. Flavour is awesome and so much nicer than your typical indian take away. Made around 7 curries to date and all have been good but the vindaloo is probably the favourite so far although masala chops are close :)

Love it

Love the goan vindaloo made it like the recipe card, have been adding more Chili’s each time I’ve made it, still can taste spices with the extra heat.
